Appointment Times

The time allowed for each appointment, is 15 minutes, if you think your appointment may need more time, please let us know if you can, and we will allow more time. A long consultation fee of $20.00 per 15 minutes may apply. If new patients do not show for two consecutive appointments, they will be charged for the second no show and possible non-registration will be discussed with your doctor.
If waiting times present a particular problem to you, for example, work commitments or parents with small children; please telephone the surgery prior to your appointment to determine if the doctor is running on schedule. We try to be punctual, but medicine is not always predictable. Emergencies and unexpected long appointments may cause delays.

Please report to the reception desk on arrival.

Results
If you have tests done at med lab, x-rays at Fulford Radiology or the hospital, please phone or email nurse@familyhealth.co.nz 2 or 3 days after to get the results. these results can be given to you by the nurse or doctor. Child & Adult Injections

All vaccinations for children are free.
Be prepared to wait 20 minutes after these, to ensure your child doesn't react to them. You need to make an appointment with the doctor for a free child check, and the nurse will give the immunisations after. We have a recall system for child immunisations, the nurse will send a letter to you, if your child is overdue, and if we have no response we will forward your contact details to an immunisation coordinator to follow up. Adult injections may be done anytime that the nurses are available. Appointments are necessary for all injections. For travel injections the travel form must be completed and checked by the doctor first. The form is available from the office.
